Epcos AG produces wide nomenclature line of ring-shaped cores in range of sizes from R3,94x2,24x1,30 to R202х153х25 for power electronics, EMI protection filters, signaling and wideband transformers and chokes.

An advantage of using ring-shaped ferrite cores as compared with other configurations of magnetic circuits is lowest value of leakage inductance combined with low cost of cores resulting from a simplicity of geometrical form.

To prevent a closure of winding wire to current-carrying ferrite material and an influence of environment on parameters of material, ring-shaped ferrite cores are issued with rounded edges and protective dielectric coating.

Especially for Russian market, Epcos AG opened up a production of К10*6*3, К20*12*6, К28*16*9 core made of N87 material, based on documentation submitted by Lepcos Co.
