Noise suppression spike killer cores (MSK cores)

MSK cores (MSTATOR) are made of thin (25±5 microns) Co-based amorphous ribbon. These products have square B-H loop and much higher permeability than their analogs made of Fe-Ni-based permalloys and ferrites. Having a very high inductance when current transiting through zero, these products effectively block the electrical current rapid changes, which can lead to electrical noise, as well as the damage of semiconductor devices with a short high-potential emission. This class of products provides more efficient noise reduction, essentially eliminating their cause. Also such cores significantly reduce losses compared to the classical RC snubbers and ferrite cores of similar purpose.

Configuration: Ribbon wound core is placed into a rigid protective container made of glass-filled polyamide and mechanically fixed with silicone sealant. The container has rounded edges and is designed for direct application of the winding with a thick wire. The container provides a reliable mechanical protection of amorphous material and preservation of its properties. All materials comply with UL94V-1 / 0.

Application: SMPS, voltage converters, electric motor control circuits, switching semiconductor devices, miniature common mode filters, semiconductor protection devices.
