Order code for one and the same product can be represented differently in data sheets, data books, other publications and the website of TDK Electronics, or in order-related documents such as shipping notes, order confirmations and product labels.
The varying representations of the ordering codes are due to different processes employed and do not affect the specifications of the respective products.
Ordering codes for TDK Electronics products consist typically of three blocks of characters with a total of 15 characters. These 15 characters are used to designate the technical specifications of a product.
Block 1 Is always 6 characters long.
Starts with 1 letter, followed by 5 Designates the product family. |
Block 2 Is max. 5 characters long.

Block 3 Is max. 4 characters long
Starts with 1 letter, followed

The ordering code can contain blanks in blocks 2 and 3 (characters 8, 9 and 13 in example below).
The ordering code can contain zeros as placeholders in blocks 2 and block 3 instead of blanks (characters 8, 9 and 13 in example below).
The blanks in blocks 2 and block 3 may be deleted. In this case the shortened ordering code has fewer characters. In the example below, the ordering code has 12 characters instead of 15.
Ordering codes can be extended with a fourth block with a maximum of 3 characters. Block 4 is used by TDK Electronics internally for differentiation purposes and can designate, e.g. the production site of the respective product. Block 4 never contains any information related to a technical parameter of a product.
